Gets much right: design, a bright AMOLED screen, the 7,200 mAh battery, a 3x telephoto, a wide selfie camera and a good Sony main sensor. Easy to recommend at about Rs 63,000 for display, battery and camera versatility.

  • Liked: + 50 MP main and 3x telephoto, both with OIS
  • Liked: + Wide 20 mm autofocus selfie camera
  • Disliked: – Display looks oversharpened
  • Disliked: – Slow image processing
  • Disliked: – BGMI limited to 60 fps

An incremental V70 update focused on endurance, display and durability. Keeping the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 for a third generation stings after a steep price rise, and the 8 MP ultrawide feels out of place.

  • Liked: + Good 144 Hz AMOLED HDR display
  • Liked: + Strong build with IP68 and IP69
  • Liked: + Excellent battery life and 90 W charging
  • Disliked: – Old chip at a high price
  • Disliked: – Weak ultrawide camera

A strong pick for people who shoot and share, thanks to excellent main and telephoto cameras and a solid build. Not a gaming phone, battery stops short of two days, and Rs 62,999 is steep.

  • Liked: + Excellent main and telephoto cameras
  • Liked: + Durable IP68/69-rated build
  • Liked: + Speakers with deep bass and clear highs
  • Disliked: – Not meant for heavy gaming
  • Disliked: – Ultrawide photos could be better
